Game Jam Games

The following is a collection of games projects I’ve worked on either solo or as part of small team efforts. All of these projects took part during a ‘game jam’, a short, time constrained game making challenge with a central theme.

House On the Fjord

House on the Fjord is a currently in-development game set in rural Iceland

Trashbot Tango

A VR game made for GGJ that featured climbing, ziplines, and magnet physics. I was responsible for technical art on the project and took the opportunity to learn the latest shader graph and vfx graph in Unity. As our game world was populated in lots of repeat ‘garbage’ objects I wrote a shader that randomized an object’s color within an artist controlled pallet based on location, allowing us to get more mileage out of a few assets. This was a “huge” team for a game jam, with 8 people.

Forged in battle

An edutainment game about historical blacksmithing. I made this when I had about 2 weeks of actual blacksmithing experience, so it contains virtually no useful information. As part of a two person team I created the rhythm game system, steel simulation, and drag and drop functionality, as well as the music and sound design. My teammate was a great developer, astounding artist, and awesome VFX artist.

Glory

My first game jam game where I made an actual video game. A 2d stealth game made to be played with an arcade controller. Worked as a solo developer to make a retro-inspired 1-bit rendering system.
